At B Lab, a global non-profit that certifies and supports sustainable businesses, Beth was in charge of product development overseeing the development of all of B Lab's technology products and platforms. While at B Lab Beth oversaw the development and launch of GIIRS Ratings and B Analytics - tools that specifically help impact investors measure, monitor, and improve the impact performance of their investees.
Beth is now exploring how to bring the B Lab model to South Africa. Beth has deep social enterprise and impact investing experience having worked closely with leading social entrepreneurs and social enterprises throughout her career. She has held roles at Self-Help, a leading community development bank; Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, a non-profit that supports social entrepreneurs globally; and the Amy Biehl Foundation Trust in Cape Town, South Africa. Beth has been an invited speaker at Global Conferences including SOCAP, TBLI, ANDE, and TEDx. Beth earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University, and her MBA from Kenan-Flagler.
