Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Rob LeBlanc is Chief Investment Officer at the Awethu Project, a pioneering SMME investment and entrepreneurship development company, which uses a globally unique model of hands-on entrepreneurship to flexibly combine people, ideas and capital to mass-produce successful SMMEs. His areas of expertise include: talent identification; entrepreneurship; SMME enterprise development; early-stage valuation, venture capital and private equity; impact investing and social enterprise.
Prior to joining Awethu, Rob worked for private equity firm C.A. Bancorp in Toronto, Canada, focused on mid- market growth capital transactions. Prior to this role, he worked for global management consultancy Oliver Wyman on market entry and growth strategies for clients in North America, South America, Europe and the Middle East. Rob received his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated with High Distinction and was named a Baker Scholar. He also received his B.Com with Great Distinction from McGill University.
