Zipho Sikhakhane is an international speaker, writer, and business advisor. She has presented to audiences across four continents, including a TEDx Talk on Africa’s potential delivered in the United States. She has a Business Science Honors Degree from the University of Cape Town and is the first black South African to obtain a Masters in Business Administration from Stanford University, United States. Both her degree and masters were completed on full scholarship. Today she advises and invests in small businesses that need to achieve scalable growth.
Zipho was born and raised by a single mother in Madadeni Township, KwaZulu Natal. Through hard work and determination, she overcame numerous challenges faced by individuals growing up in disadvantaged communities.
She was an entrepreneur throughout her childhood and has spent her corporate career holding strategic and management positions in world leading organisations. Examples include the world’s top management consulting firm, McKinsey & Co and the world’s biggest Spanish based retail group, Inditex. She is published as a contributing author in Singapore on leadership in business and is currently a weekly business columnist for the Sunday Times in South Africa. In the last 10 years she has almost 30 countries and worked in 10 of them.
